But at 2x it's like having a personal instructor trying to motivate you. This book isn't going tell you there is an easy way out. It IS going to tell you that it's your duty to be successful and to get your butt in gear. Being successful takes effort. I'm really glad I didn't listen to the naysayers.

Sometimes we don't need new strategies, we only need a jolt to wake up and take action. Hope this helps someone. There are only two main points in this book: set massive goals 10 times what you think you can achieve and take massive actions 10 times more than what you would have normally done. If you think you can get two new customers each week, put in 10 times the effort to aim for 20 new customers each week. Each of the chapters are pounding on behavior changes, like don't behave like a victim.

Traffic didn't make you late. That's an excuse. Do more than the average level of work. Commit to and deliver exceptional work. Don't retreat when economic conditions take a down turn. Get out there, meet with the customers, increase your advertising while your competitors are cutting back, and expand your market as they retract. This book reads like a life coach yelling at you. My first miss in Audible! Feels like some marketing scheme.

It just did not click with me. Simply work harder. Skip the book. If you like to listen to a used cars salesman, then this book is for you. Boring old talk that been consumed times before. The author is nothing but another motivational speaker.

I'm not sure why this book is so long. I struggled to make it 3 hours in. I'll save you 7 long hours of listening to a salesman go on about how great he is. The message is this: aim higher, work harder, don't hesitate and don't victimise yourself. That's pretty much it, over and over and over. No wonder he did 4 books in 22 months, you can tell. It's a long repetitive list. I've gained a lot of value from books in the genre Drive by Daniel H Pink, for example , but this isn't one of them.

I can't help but think if you want success at any cost, follow his lead. If you want success, respect, adoration and pride in a quality piece of work, then be selective on how you apply these ideas. What would have made The 10X Rule better? Less use of repetitive 10 x quote all the time. What will your next listen be? How did the narrator detract from the book? What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment? Any additional comments? He sounds like a market trader with no understanding of what the customer benefits are.

I lasted just over and hour, and had to stop. He doesn't speak in an aggressive, patronising way, but you feel you're being told off by your Dad for not doing your homework?! That you just need to "Focus, plan and work" 10times more than you're doing at the moment. After over an hour I haven't learnt anything new, and have just had repeated "Do more than others, do 10x the amount of thinking and action you're doing now" Really can't seen it's going to get any better, and if it does, it should have happened early in the book, before you lose interest.

Afraid not. What would have made The TenX Rule better? I felt shouted at by the author who also narrates this audio book. There was a lot of theory and not much real, practical help It's the statement that begins to grate within 30 minutes I kept listening, despite it getting harder and harder and finally gave up part way through the second CD. There was nothing new in this audio book for me. What character would you cut from The TenX Rule?

I would have preferred a less 'shouty' narrator and someone who spoke at less than a breakneck speed. I'm very surprised to see all those positive reviews here, are they genuine? It's just a load of fluffy generalizations with very little practical advice or anything that would motivate you to go out and actually achieve 10x.

I will have to write this purchase off as a waste of money and keep going back to Brian Tracy's "Maximum achievement" for actionable tips. This is not a great book and could've been done at a 10th of the size but it does help.

Listing to this you will undoubtedly get some benefit and it will move you forward is to where ever you want to go. Repetitive and not very insightful. Delivery was not an easy listen, with an aggressive and egotistical tone A terrible waste of my time and money.

Not a single new or insightful comment, full of one liners that offer nothing more than reading something banal like Instagram. The are books written for those who need basic show and tell, or simplistic pronounced headliners.

It dictates that success is emulating this books facile mottos, without any evidence at all. It is unqualified and there are 10x better books and writing. Really disappointing. This was a rehash of self help tomes on taking massive action with take ten times action repeated ad nauseam.

With insights like "If success is a main concern for you, then I'd recommend you spend most of your time doing those things that will create success", this brings nopthing new apart from his repeated 10X tag.

I strongly disagree with his belief that most really successful people will get criticised - "You must expect criticism to come your way when you hit success". I guess that if you belive this - you attract criticism. I do agree that focus on long term goals, commitment and massive immediate and sustained action are essential for success - so many other books cover this better and are more helpful on how to take that action.

Both of these provide the listener with useful psychological insights into how to take massive action. They are much more practical about how to get started and stay motivated - in your home and work life. Would you ever listen to anything by Grant Cardone again? Cardone's style is shouty and overwhelming. It's a personal development seminar on speed - rather a book reading. If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The 10X Rule?

I wouldn't publish it. Avoid if you aren't already a fan of the author. If you read the 1 star reviews you'll see that most of these say they gave up reading. Do you really want to take advice from these quitters? People who give up? If you do, you will never be successful. This book is amazing and should be bought, listened to and re-listened to many many times by everyone that wants to improve their lives. I first read BOBA by Cardone and this book contains some of the same topics but they are approached from a very different angle, namely: take action now, stop thinking about it, do it and figure it out later.

It will motivate you to take action and get past those mental blocks so that you can live a truly amazing life. I would recommend buying and listening to BOBA first, then 10x. I can tell he is passionate but ironically offers little actionable advice.

I can summarise this book in one sentence. If you want to succeed. Try 10 times harder. I am so disappointed I bought this book and fed more money to a someone with no original thoughts or theories. Avoid at all costs. A waste of time. The writer comes across as a total jackas and know it all. Even though he pretty much has nothing interesting to say. The points he makes are irrelevant, not well thought out and just not true. At times he sounds like 5 year old bragging about how smart he is while staying obvious and irrelevant points.

Listen to Grant get fired up about success and you cant but do the same. Grant is sometimes overwhelming with his passion and enthusiasm, which is what 10x thinking and action is all about. Lots of good advice here people, do yourself a favor and listen to it. Massive eye opener of how to raise the bar Loved grants passion and excitement made listening very easy. Hold on, this book is flat out from start to end. The narrator brings energy in buckets, challenges everything and left me with a warm afterglow and a powerful feeling that more is possible.

I'm all in. Absolutely love this audio book! You will learn how to take action faster and more efficiently. Chapter 24 is my everyday listen to kick start my day! The lessons in this book are a great way to approach life in all areas. Must have for anyone looking to excel in their chosen fields. I would love to have a beer with him one day. It's awesome to hear a book like this being read so enthusiastically.
